Description
Total dissolved solids in water, expressed in mg/l. It is determined by chemical analyses and is a measure of the salinity of water. Electrical conductivity measurements can also be used to estimate TDS.
Why is TDS important?
The suitability of water for a particular use is dictated by the salinity of the water.
