Description
A perforated tube driven or jetted into the ground to collect water from shallow primary aquifer systems.
Why are wellpoints important?
Wellpoints provide inexpensive and easy access to shallow primary aquifers and can be used for abstracting and monitoring groundwater. An array of wellpoints can also be used to dewater areas for construction purposes e.g. installation of pipes, building of roads and laying foundations.
